ABOUT MOPS

What is MOPS?

MOPS (Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers) is a community of moms which exists to encourage, support, and equip mothers.  We believe moms are world influencers. Better Moms make a better world.

Who:

MOPS is for ANY mom who is pregnant or has children birth through Kindergarten. We don’t all have to agree, but we do need each others support since we’re all in the thick of it.

Wait, I still have kiddos who are a little older and in school! If so, please check out MOMSnext.

What:

MOPS meetings serve moms who are in the thick of raising the world. Our meetings serve to provide support, to help equip, encourage, and develop ourselves to be better leaders and better moms through mentoring, conversation, relevant teaching and creative activities. We want moms to come and have fun, receive support, and relax!

Childcare:

Better moms occasionally need to have a break! MOPS provides childcare in a loving and nurturing preschool style environment. Our MOPS KIDS  teachers and childcare workers are all background checked and qualified individuals that love our children. Part of maintaining our SAFE, loving and nurturing environment, GCBC MOPS uses Kidcheck to help facilitate this. If you don’t already have a Kidcheck account, you can create one here.

When:

MOPS meetings happen on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month starting at 9:30 – 11:30am. Our first meeting Free Indeed will be held on September 12, 2017. Please check our Calendar for current events and activities.

Where:

We meet at Grace Community Bible Church in Sandy, Utah.
11592 South 1300 East, Sandy, UT 84094

How:

If you are interested in MOPS but aren’t sure if it is for you; you are always welcome to come try it out! If you become interested in being part of this group, please contact our MOPS Coordinators, Andrea Madison.

What to Expect:

What you can expect at your first meeting is to meet lots of other moms who are in the same stage of life, great conversation, a mentor mom who has been there, done that and can provide a listening ear and their encouragement.  Either a craft or a speaker that is providing practical tools to us moms all while our children are cared for by our excellent MOPS KIDS teachers and of course FOOD! (How could we meet with out that?!?!)
